I’m fairly certain that there is a day coming in the near future that will instantly alter the course of human affairs and sound an unmistakable warning that the Day of the Lord, the Apocalypse, has arrived. Despite my provocative title, I have no particular insight pointing to May 1, 2025, as that day other than it fits within the biblical framework better than most days. I call it Day Zero as it will mark the day that everything will change for everyone everywhere, a “great reset” of a different sort than envisioned by elite globalists of these times.
Getting to the point, the event I speak of is a nuclear attack against the United States. Of course, the Bible doesn’t mention the United States or nuclear weapons, so that’s my fallible read. Of the attack, what I know is that John saw a vision of an event illustrated as the sky splitting apart and rolling up like a scroll and the moon and sun being blocked. As a result, people of all classes will be caught up in fear of divine judgment and flee to the safety of mountains. Most telling will be that deadly airborne toxins will be spread by the wind afterward. (Rev 6:12-7:1)
Another angle of what I think is the same event is in Rev 17-18 where ten notable individuals orchestrate an attack against the nation illustrated as the great harlot Babylon, an attack that will be sudden, fiery, and devastating. It will generate smoke visible from far away and ostensibly disrupt the global order because its demise will deprive businesses, politicians, and nations of their largest source of wealth – Babylon’s consumption of their goods.
One caveat worth mentioning is that the culprits at the root of this great attack are actually empowered individuals within Babylon, or so it seems, though I doubt that will be the official story.
Aside from the obvious, the significance of this day is that it will set the stage and announce without doubt (to true believers) the onset of the last chapter of this era of human history, the Christian era. From there forward, world events will follow a script set forth in the Bible and following through the seven trumpets and seven bowls of wrath in Revelation.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Th 5:3 KJV)
Before this day, the Christian doctrine of salvation preached in the world comes in many flavors, but all involve some type and degree of acceptance and compliance with elements supposedly derived from the Bible. The result has been what is most aptly described in the lesson of the wheat and tares Jesus taught: The churches as a whole are a mixture of genuine servants of Christ, servants of the devil, and everything in between. The Apocalypse will sort them out, and the mode will be straightforward: Those who stand true to Christ will be persecuted and killed, but they will be saved through the resurrection. Those who forsake Him will die in their sins, having no part in the resurrection to follow. And as it unfolds, the wheat and tares will be separated.
The bottom line is that when you see the nukes go off, it won’t be the end of the world as many will fear. Rather, it will be the beginning of the Day of the Lord, and the harvest of souls to follow will be a violent and bloody affair. Even so, Lord, may thy kingdom come and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
