I’m a collector of the pieces of a prophetic puzzle known as the Apocalypse, a label derived from the Greek word that is usually translated as Revelation, most notably as the title of the last book of the New Testament. The mysteries of that book and other far reaching biblical prophecies were intended to gain light through the circumstances and events of the times they foresaw as they draw near. It was written primarily for the understanding of the people of those times, that is, those who recognize the unprecedented events of the end times unfolding as outlined in Revelation like missing pieces of a puzzle.
I expect a large batch of these puzzle pieces to be revealed when a single event that, in my estimation, will effectively announce the onset of the Apocalypse in no uncertain terms. I call it Day Zero. That will be the day that a nuclear attack against the United States will seem to spell the end of the U.S. and its allies’ dominance on the world stage. This event will disrupt the entire world political and economic order. It will change everything for everyone everywhere. It will lead to the ultimate death of a third of the world’s population. It will set in motion all the horrors outlined in Revelation from the first angelic trumpet blast to the seventh bowl of divine wrath.
While the world writes the United States obituary, a group of ten business leaders will rise to leadership, probably pooling their vast resources together to orchestrate a miraculous emergency response after the nuclear attack. To the amazement of the world, the U.S. will not be done, but it will take on a different and darker spirit under the ten. It will get even darker at some point when the one called the “man of sin” and “son of perdition” in the Bible, the Antichrist in modern parlance, rises to power. He will be given three and half years of what seems to be autonomous power, probably on a promise to conduct an election and restore the constitutional order.
Two things of note regarding the aftermath of Day Zero: One, there will be some of the near survivors of the nuclear attack that will prove to be remarkably immune to radiation poisoning. My guess is that they will be found to have common genetic markers linking them together as descendants of Jacob, father of the tribes of Israel. The second point is that some will say that the nuclear attack was an inside job perpetuated by the ten billionaire heroes who orchestrated a remarkable recovery plan that kept the country going. Those in power will undoubtedly take exception to such claims, especially since it will be the truth.
Perhaps one of the most disturbing things about all this for me personally is that there isn’t a thing I can do to avoid this forthcoming disaster other than, perhaps, staying away from Washington D.C., New York, and other major coastal cities. Stocking up on necessities is never a bad idea, either, but this isn’t a storm that is going to pass and leave sunshine and rainbows in its wake. The Apocalypse is coming because it is the revealing of a new age, the birth labor through which the kingdom of God will be born into this world. I can’t stop it. I can’t avoid it. I don’t know if my faith is strong enough to stand.
All that said, my personal alert status is heightened by the forthcoming 2024 elections. I’ve felt the same at other times, though few with as high a degree as this. The world is and has been ordered in a way that uniquely aligns with the biblical description. The U.S. and other western nations have gone mad in their self-destructive policies. Moral decay and demonic behavior often disguised as psychological disorders are pandemic. The entire global economy and geopolitical order are dependent on U.S. dollars, especially those they get from America’s insatiable appetite for their goods. There are two wars threatening to expand and more than at any time since the Cuban missile crisis, the risk of nuclear warfare is being discussed openly. There are people of considerable power devoting a great deal of resources to destroying the American model of a democratic republic, and half the country sides with them against the other half.
Election 2024 is near, Donald Trump seems to be gaining momentum, and his supporters are gaining hope that he’ll win and set America back on the right course. If he wins, all those who’ve been distraught over the recent systematic dismantling of the foundations and framework of this country will breathe a collective sigh of relief. Finally, they can relax. Things are getting better. America is back. But I can’t help but notice that such sentiment is just like when they say, “peace and safety” only to find that “sudden destruction comes upon them” (1 Thes 5:5).
Or maybe not. This time.
